How to use it
- Set one cup under each leg of the bed, with the leg in the center well.
- Pull the bed a few inches away from the wall and the nightstand, so the legs are the only way up.
- Tuck the sheets and blanket in: nothing should hang down to the floor.
- Keep the inside wall clean and dry: a slick wall is what holds a bug in the cup.
- Check and clean the cups every week; tip them into a smooth plastic tub to see what they caught.
How many you need
One cup under each leg: a frame on four legs takes four, one with a center support takes six or more. These are standard cups; a square or wide leg needs an XL cup.
Twelve standard insect interceptors
Under every leg of three ordinary beds, these twelve standard-size cups give you a full set of four per bed from a single order. The maker calls them insect interceptors rather than bed bug traps, and the standard size is meant for ordinary bed and furniture legs rather than oversized posts.
You set each cup flat on the floor, lower the leg into it, and look into the wells whenever you strip your bed. A catch in one cup and not in the others points you to the corner worth searching. Only two people have rated these so far, so weigh that score lightly when you compare.
ClimbUp Insect Interceptor is part of the Bed Bug Blocker collection, on the interceptor cups shelf.
