How to use it

Set one cup under each leg of the bed, with the leg in the center well.
Pull the bed a few inches away from the wall and the nightstand, so the legs are the only way up.
Tuck the sheets and blanket in: nothing should hang down to the floor.
Keep the inside wall clean and dry: a slick wall is what holds a bug in the cup.
Check and clean the cups every week; tip them into a smooth plastic tub to see what they caught.

How many you need

One cup under each leg: a frame on four legs takes four, one with a center support takes six or more. These are standard cups; a square or wide leg needs an XL cup.

Polypropylene base plate made for heavy beds

Heavy beds crack cheap plastic, so the maker gave this cup a reinforced polypropylene base plate. Bugs climb into the cup easily but cannot climb back out. You can buy 8 or 12, in black or white, and the 12-pack is enough for three beds or three pieces of furniture with four legs each.

Place one cup under every leg of your bed, then under the couch, chairs and love seat if you want to watch those too. Looking into the wells over a few weeks gives you early notice of activity in the room. The standard size suits ordinary legs, so measure any wide posts before you choose.
