A cup under every leg, a few inches off the wall
A standard cup takes a round or slim leg up to about the width of its center well. The leg stands in the middle, and the slick wall of the outer ring is what a bed bug cannot climb back out of.
The cup only protects if the legs are the only way up: pull the bed a few inches off the wall, keep the nightstand clear of the frame, and tuck the bedding so nothing hangs to the floor.
