Deep mattresses are the reason to look here: besides the standard depth, Queen, King and California King come in a 20 to 24 inch version. You set the mattress into the sealed end, then zip around the three remaining sides. A hook-and-loop strip covers the zipper once it is closed.

The surface is stretch polyester and the inner lining is polyurethane, which keeps liquids from reaching your mattress. A 3 inch strip of extra polyester lining wraps the zipper seam for strength. The fabric is quiet, so you will not hear crinkling under your sheets. Machine wash it whenever it needs cleaning.
